Safaris and tours
Where we go
Four East African countries in our own vehicles with our own driver guides, six more in southern Africa and the Indian Ocean, and seven trips beyond. Choose a country to see how we would plan it.
East Africa
Driven by our own guides
Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda. One person plans your route and one of our guides drives all of it.
Kenya, in seven routes
An unusual amount of variety in short distances. Big cats in the Mara, elephants under Kilimanjaro, red dust in Tsavo, flamingo lakes in the Rift Valley and the dry north at Samburu.
From USD 1,450 per person · Peak season July to October
Tanzania, and the matter of scale
The Serengeti runs to the horizon in every direction, and the Ngorongoro Crater holds a resident population of almost everything inside one collapsed volcano.
From USD 1,285 per person · Migration here December to July
Uganda: an hour on foot with a gorilla family
The green side of East Africa. Rainforest, crater lakes and steep hills, and an hour spent standing among a habituated mountain gorilla family in Bwindi.
From USD 2,770 per person · Treks of 2 to 8 hours
Rwanda: the shortest road to a gorilla
From Kigali you can be at a lodge near the trekking sector the same afternoon you land, which makes a three day gorilla trip realistic.
From USD 3,500 per person · Trek groups capped at eight visitors

Tell us your dates and we will say honestly which country suits the month.

Malawi
Liwonde and Majete, transformed by conservation partnerships, and Lake Malawi for clear freshwater and island lodges.

Granite boulders, warm shallow water and three main islands close enough to hop by ferry, with direct flights from Nairobi.
Beyond Africa
Outbound tours from Nairobi
City breaks, longer loops and island weeks, planned by the same office.
North Africa and the Middle East
Egypt
Giza, Saqqara and the Grand Egyptian Museum, then Luxor and Aswan with a Nile cruise between them.
Morocco

Asia and the Maldives
Singapore
Gardens by the Bay, the zoo and night safari, hawker centres, Chinatown and Little India.
Thailand
Bangkok for temples and street food, Chiang Mai for mountains and craft, and the southern islands for beaches.
Bali
Rice terraces and temples around Ubud, then the coast, with the Gili islands a boat ride away.
Maldives
One island, one resort, one week, chosen for its house reef, transfer type and meal plan.
